By night's sleep now that an average of two hours shorter than 50 years ago, researchers claim nap provides a simple way to improve heart health.

Longer working hours and night shift to make people spend more time watching TV until late at night, which affects not sleep soundly. As a result, hours of sleep a night less than two hours from the time they should.

In fact, lack of sleep has been associated with numerous serious disease risk is higher, such as hypertension and cardiovascular problems (blood vessels).

"Our findings show that napping can provide cardiovascular benefits by accelerating cardiovascular recovery from stress mentally," said Ryan Brindle and Sarah Conklin, Ph.D., from Allegheny College, as reported by the Telegraph, on Thursday (03/03/2011).

In this study, researchers studied 85 healthy students were divided into two groups, which take a nap for 60 minutes and that does not take a nap.

Further research is needed to explore the mechanisms linking sleep during the day with heart health, and to evaluate a nap as the practice of healing and protective, especially for people with risk of cardiovascular disease and those with optimal sleep quality.
Tea For Pemuas Thirst More Helpful Of Pure Water

Tea For Pemuas Thirst More Helpful Of Pure Water

Water is beneficial for the body, but not the only healthy choice to quench thirst. For most people, good tea because it was more potent than quench thirst also can provide more benefits than white water.

The advantage is revealed in a search of the various studies that have been published in European Journal of Clinical Nutrition. The editor, Dr Carrie Ruxton is also a nutrition expert said that in general, satisfy the thirst of tea as superior to white water.

"The function of water is to replace lost body fluids. Tea provides a double benefit because in addition to replacing fluids can also contain antioxidants," says Dr Ruxton as quoted by the Times, Sunday (16/01/2011).

Antioxidants in tea is the antidote, especially flavonoids that prevent free radical cell damage and premature aging caused by pollution and unhealthy diet. Some experts also bermanfaaat metyakini antioxidants in the prevention of cancer and heart attacks.

Meanwhile, the BBC reported, in the form of flavonoid antioxidants is also beneficial for healthy teeth and bones. In addition to strengthening bones and joints, flavonoids also prevent tartar formation and reduce the risk of tooth loss and decay.

Dr Ruxton also disputed the myth that tea actually cause dehydration or loss of body fluids because they contain caffeine which is a diuretic aka piss bullets. According to him, the liquid that comes out from the effects of caffeine are not more numerous than the incoming fluid along with steeping tea.

Dr Ruxton opinion is supported by the British Nutrition Foundation, which advocated for a cup of tea from 1.2 to 2 liters a day or 8.5 cups of medium size. However, anemic patients should not drink tea just before and after eating because some research indicates that tea can inhibit the absorption of nutrients by the intestine.

Swelling Due Much Drinking Not Dangerous

Drinking water is strongly recommended as good for the body's metabolism. But there you know who was so loved by the white water, some of his body was swollen due to drinking. But according to doctors swollen because a lot of drinking water is not dangerous.

Even more dangerous precisely the lack of fluid in the body, aka dehydration. While swollen because a lot of drinking only affects enlargement of body tissues. Enlargement of this tissue is dependent on which excess water occurs.

Similarly, while consuming more liquids, the absorption of water by the kidney to drain through the urine will also increase. Before absorbed by the kidneys, fluid buildup is most prevalent in blood plasma.

At certain levels, the kidneys are not able to offset the excess fluid in the blood plasma so that the buildup will continue to happen. Over time the liquid is not accommodated again in the blood vessels, and then seeping into the network.

The network also has limitations, when it exceeds the capacity of the liquid will be absorbed by the cells in the network. The cells are filled with too much water will cause the network membengak that looks more fat.

Swelling caused by excess body fluids are also not triggered by too much to drink because its body will feel uncomfortable and to stop drinking if if was too much. More fluid overload triggered by impaired renal function in absorbing fluid and the infusion is too much.
